The Challenge
Surface Design Show sits at the intersection of architecture, materials innovation and contemporary design. Its audience, architects, interior designers and specifiers, expects clarity, restraint and confidence in every visual touchpoint.
The challenge was not to reinvent the brand each year, but to evolve it. Across multiple editions and an ever-expanding mix of formats, the show needed a visual system that could flex across large-scale environments, editorial advertising, digital assets and printed materials, while remaining unmistakably Surface Design Show. Every element had to feel considered, current and credible within a highly design-literate context.
The Solution
Since 2019, we’ve partnered with Surface Design Show as a long-term creative extension of the team, shaping and refining the visual language year on year. Our approach focuses on structure, hierarchy and material-led design — allowing the brand to adapt naturally across scales, surfaces and channels without losing coherence.
From on-site signage and registration environments to press advertising, invitations, post-show reports and partner assets, we design systems rather than one-offs. Each edition builds on the last, introducing subtle refinements in layout, colour and typographic treatment while maintaining a strong through-line across all outputs.
